How AI actually reaches ROI.

Most AI never makes it from a promising demo to production. The method below is how it does — find the right thing to build, build it on real architecture, and launch it so it lasts.

THE PRINCIPLE

AI multiplies whatever you point it at.

Point it at the wrong thing and it builds the wrong thing faster. Point it at the right thing with no foundation and it produces locally-correct, globally-incoherent code faster. The leverage was never in the tool — everyone has the same tools. It's in the aim and the foundation.

So the method front-loads the two things most teams skip: finding the Big AI Idea (the aim), and standing up the architecture (the foundation) before pointing AI at the code. Architecture before Prompting. Get those right and the wall never appears.

Two ways AI investments die.

01Build the Wrong Thing.

The team builds the AI feature that's easy or fashionable, not the one that moves the business. The demo impresses everyone; the ROI never arrives, because the target was wrong before a line was written.

02Build the Wrong Way.

The team builds the right idea on no architecture. It flies for a week — then the wall: a routine change takes days, every engineer's code diverges, and the thing never reaches production.

Most help fixes one and ignores the other. Strategy decks find the thing and can't build it. Dev shops build whatever they're handed, right or wrong. The method fixes both — find the right thing, then build it right.

Build the Right Way

Idea → Architecture → AI Build → Launched

01lightbulb

Idea

Find the Big AI Idea — the highest-leverage thing AI should build in your business — scored on value and feasibility, with the gaps in the way and a roadmap to close them.

02account_tree

Architecture

Stand up the foundations the build needs to hold: data models, coding standards, component patterns, API contracts. The decisions that keep AI output coherent instead of conflicting.

AI Build

Build the first real features through an AI pipeline your team learns by using — so the velocity is theirs, not rented.

04rocket_launch

Launched

To production, with a playbook your team keeps. The handoff that leaves them building without me.

Build the right thing.

The same method underneath all three — the difference is how much I run for you, and how far down the arc you go.

Clarity

For teams who know AI belongs in their product but not what to build first. I run the Idea phase on your business and hand back three things: the Big AI Idea, scored on value and feasibility; the architecture gaps standing in the way; and a sequenced roadmap to build it. You leave knowing exactly what to build, why, and what it'll take.
